MACHIAS HOTEL 

Myron Randall was one of the early proprietors of the Hotel Machias. Other owners Martha and Harold Losey, the Crandall family, Bob and Aurora Sayborn, Leonard Geiger from 1950 to about 1975 and the present owner is George Brown The hotel was once a famous stopping place for travelers on their way to Buffalo,  many of them stayed the night after coming by coach. . No longer are there overnight guests, just a few local patrons stopping in . $o wet their whistle, talk a while and have a sandwich, Machias Hotel is located on Rt. 16 at the stoplight.
